The latest developments in the Warri South Legislative arms has further widened as the Leader of the House Hon. Marcus Udoyo, Deputy Leader Hon Matthew Dada, and Majority Leader Hon. Romeo Ogedegbe was impeached by 13 members against 5 members of 19 Councilors.
It was further reported that the whole saga started as a result of the power of supremacy from the leaders of the PDP in Warri South that has been rocking the council. Chief Dr. Joseph Otumara, has been the leader of the PDP Warri South and has been on the aim of affairs after the retirement of Dr. Oritsejafor.
A reporter who pleaded anonymous said the tussle started before the death of Hon. Omawumi Beatrice Udoh member of the Delta State House of Assembly representing Warri South constituency 1. Before her death she connived with Hon. Michael Diden (Ejele) to bring Dr. Oritsejafor to return to the leadership structure in Warri South. After that attempt fail there was plan by Ejele to power the Commissioner of Transport Hon. Vincent Uduaghan to takeover the leadership structure to give him (Ejele) an easy ride in producing a successor and flag bearer in the forthcoming by-election in constituency 1 after the demise of Hon.Omawumi Udoh.
The trial of supremacy was on a test in the legislative arms of Warri South LGA when the impeached Leader of the House Hon. Marcus Udoyo, Deputy Leader Hon. Matthew Dada and Majority Leader Hon. Romeo Ogedegbe controversially suspends three (3) members of the house, Hon. Semuge Darlington representing Orugbo ward, Hon. Jude Onovughe representing Okumagba ward1 and Hon Edah Isaac Hesse representing GRA ward.
A motion for the suspension of the votes and proceedings of Tuesday 10th was moved by Hon. Joseph Oborume representing Ogunu/Okurode Ward and was seconded by Hon. Oris Eyikimi representing Ode-Itsekiri ward.
An accepted Majority votes nullifying the controversial suspension was passed, while a motion of "URGENT PUBLIC IMPORTANCE" was moved and the Pro - Tempo granted the motion.
The impeached Leaders of the House was immediately replaced with former Leaders of the House Hon. Sunday Aguweye, Deputy Leader Hon. Pessu Richard, Majority Leader Hon. Semuge Darlington and Deputy Majority Leader Hon. Ochuko Eyekpimi after at the council Legislative Arm Chamber on Wednesday 11th January, 2017.
